The Home Television LCD Market Has Literally Been Flooded

The home entertainment market has been flooded in the last year with a bevy flat screen television LCD equipment, and the prices have been dropping rapidly. Almost everyone works hard for his or her money, and they want to find the best LCD television that their money will buy without foregoing quality, and long-term ownership. When walking into a discount electronics store, the average consumer is visually assaulted with a massive wall of flat screen technology. They are overwhelmed and do not know where to start in choosing the right television for their home. Usually, all males want to get the biggest amount of viewing area they can afford.

When choosing the size of your new television, you need to keep in mind the size of your room that you will be viewing the screen. A 55-inch plasma HD set up may look great in the store, but when you get it home and mounted, it may be too much. For the above example size, you will need approximately seven to eight feet of distance between you and TV, otherwise you will feel like you are sitting in the front row of a traditional movie theatre. Comfort of viewing should always be considered when selecting large display acreage.

When it comes to brand of your new LCD rig, you can always play it safe and stick with traditional manufacturers like: Sony, Panasonic, Toshiba, and Samsung. You will pay more for the products, but you will realize better service and longer warranties with your investment too. That is not to say there are not many great deals to be had with lesser know brands, like Vizio, Viewsonic, LG, and Haier. Make sure that you have at least a thirty-day full refund or exchange policy with your TV purchase, to insure that you have made the right choice for your home. The latter mentioned brands can save you up to a thousand dollars on your purchase.

After making a final choice, ask your sales rep about a wall mount for your new television. These TVs have a high center of gravity which makes them fall over easily, and can be damaged beyond repair. If you have little ones in the home, a wall mount will also prevent the display from falling on top of a toddler that likes to climb on the furniture. The other benefit is that your TV will up a little higher than the conventional stand, and will increase screen visibility.
