When you purchase plasma TV, an ideal place for this new TV is on the wall for maximum access to all onlookers. In order for you to have that new plasma TV on the wall, you will need a plasma mount. A plasma TV wall mount is a device that attaches to the back of your TV, and then is screwed into your wall. This way of displaying your TV has become more common within the last few years.
Plasma TV mounts can be found in almost any store that sells the plasma TV’s. They do range in price depending on the size TV that you have purchased. Make sure you do know the size of your TV before purchasing any plasma TV mounting materials. Places that sell great priced plasma mounts include; Wal-mart, Target, and Best Buy. Stores that specialize in electronics tend to have higher prices on plasma wall mounts. Make sure to look around for decent prices in your area before making a purchase.
When you are installing your plasma wall mount, you want to be sure to follow the directions exactly. You don’t want to skip a step or misread any directions and have a TV fatality. Plasma TV wall mounts all come with directions, and if they don’t, take it back to the store! When you are getting ready to install your wall mount follow the steps below:
1. Make sure the TV mount is the correct size for your TV.
2. Find a place to set your cables up behind your TV.
3. Locate the studs in your wall, and make sure you are not hitting any when fitting the mount on the wall. Use a level and pencil to mark the wall with the places you will be inserting the screws.
4. Attach the mount to the wall with the screws that were provided.
5. Set up the wires the way you want, and place the TV on the plasma wall mount bracket.
6. Check the stability of the TV and Enjoy!
Other than a wall mount, a plasma TV mount can also be attached to the ceiling. A plasma ceiling mount attaches to the ceiling or sometimes the crease between the ceiling and wall. An arm bracket will then come down from the ceiling/wall attachment and your TV will attach to what is similar to a wall mount. This is great for bedrooms when you can use all the extra room you get from not sitting a TV on a dresser.
