Bathroom ceiling lights will say that they are moisture resistant, or are perfect for use in the bathroom.
If you are looking for your kitchen, on the other hand, you’re going to want to make sure that the lights you purchase are easy to clean. Some kitchen ceiling lighting fixtures are incredibly elaborate, and because of this, can be difficult to clean. Some of the types that you will come across are flush mount ceiling lights, usually contractor grade, and then track lighting systems that can be a bit more expensive. Depending on how your kitchen is laid out, you’ll want to make sure that whatever lights you purchase will match, so that if you ever decide to sell the home, they will have increased value over basic lighting that doesn’t accent your kitchen’s features properly.
Outdoor ceiling lights are going to be a different breed all together. Some will come with solar panels that you can mount on top of your enclosure, to provide an ample supply of lighting once the sun has set. Whereas, other models could require you to wire them separately. If you already have outdoor ceiling fans installed, you can get away with tapping into the wiring and the switch box that the fan is on, otherwise, you might want to consider calling an electrician to have the project completed for you.
