When you decide on decorating a room in your house, a color scheme is the one of the main things that you need to decide on. Once a color is decided on, start moving things out of the room that does not match that color scheme. Now one aspect you may not have the finances to update is the flooring. So what do you do? You get rugs! Pink may seem like a very feminine color, but it can be used in many places within the home. Pink rugs are great for changing the dynamics of a room completely or with subtlety.
A pink rug can be light pink, bright pink, Barbie pink, and hot pink. A hot pink rug is great for a little girl’s room that is in need of a color boost. When you use something like hot pink rugs, the concentration of the room is extended to the floor and keeps the eyes on the entire room instead of one point on a wall. When you are looking for a pink area rug, make sure you look at all the different types, shapes, textures, and shades of colors.

When you are looking for a texture, you can go for berber rugs, braided rugs, and even pink shag rugs. The texture creates a different look for the room, especially when texture is lacking. A shag rug is not recommended for places in the house such as the bathroom or kitchen. Pink bathroom rugs should be a flat and water absorbent material, with a rubber lining. The rubber lining on a pink bath rug keeps the water from when you step on the rug after a bath or shower, from leaking to the floor below and becoming slippery. Pink bath rugs can still be any shape and any shade of pink to go with the rooms décor.
The shape and size of a rug become crucial when you have only a certain amount of space that you have to lay the rug. You don’t want any of your pink area rugs hitting the walls and curling up them. If you are having a problem fitting a rectangular rug, try a pink round rug. Round rugs change the direction of a room with the shape. If you have circular mirrors or frames on the wall, don’t use the round rug, and vice versa.
